European Association for People Management (EAPM)
In 1962, the DGFP was one of the founding members of the European Association for People Management (EAPM). The EAPM was established by the national associations for people management of France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. It sees itself as an independent network, without any influence of employers’, trade union, state or political bodies. Its task is to promote the information exchange of those who are active in "human resources management". The EAPM is the organization representing people management throughout Europe.The international EAPM congress held every two years is organised by one member organization in its respective member country.
The latest EAPM congress took place on 22nd and 23rd October 2015 in Valencia and was hosted by the Spanish HR organization AEDIPE. We are now looking forward to the 28th EAPM congress on 26th and 27th October in Cannes, France, which will be hosted by the French HR-Organisation ANDRH.

World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA)
The WFPMA is the worldwide umbrella organisation representing more than 600,000 people management professionals in over 90 national personnel associations around the world: North and South America, South Africa, Europe and Asia/Pacific. It was founded in 1976 with participation of the DGFP.
Since 1986, the WFPMA holds a World Congress on Personnel Management and Development every two years (in the year when the EAPM congress does not take place). It is organised by one organisation of each continent in a rotational way. The 16th World Congress will be held in Istanbul (Turkey) from 19th-21st October 2016. Furthermore, communication and information exchange are aided by the website and the newsletter “WorldLink” published quarterly. By means of these numerous international connections, the DGFP is able to make worldwide contacts for its member companies.
Further International Commitment
On top of the integration into the international network of EAPM and WFPMA lasting more than 50 years now, the DGFP is also active in other international activities in so called experience exchange groups. The DGFP maintains strong links with enterprises and personnel managers in Austria and Switzerland represented in the experience exchange group “D-A-CH”. Another group focuses on Central and Eastern Europe and another one on the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Estonia and the Scandinavian countries. Last but not least a lot of German HR managers of international operating enterprises contribute their international experiences and know-how to the DGFP network.
